Domain Credentials
A NuoDB domain is a collection of machines or cloud instances that work together to support one or more NuoDB databases. Each database can run on one or more hosts in the domain.
To perform administrative tasks, such as creating a database or shutting down a Transaction Engine (TE), you must determine if you plan to use NuoDB Admin Transport Layer Security (TLS) secure domain authentication.
By default, TLS is enabled, but the user must create the TLS keys.
In physical deployments, you must provide TLS keys.
Use the nuocmd
sub-commands to generate TLS keys.
Alternatively, use the open-source command line tool OpenSSL
or the Java utility Keytool
to generate TLS keys.
For Physical or VMware deployments, see Enabling TLS Encryption and for Kubernetes deployments, see NuoDB Helm Charts.
