Data Model

This section describes NuoDB’s unique data-model built of Atoms and some of the most distinct features due to its distributed nature:

  • Archive Synchronization for restoring individual SMs in the event of a planned or unplanned outage.

  • Data Partitioning enabling each SM to manage a subset of the data in an archive. By default, each SM manages a complete copy of the entire archive.
