Using SQuirreL Universal SQL and NuoDB

To use the SQuirreL Universal SQL client with NuoDB:

  1. Download and configure SQuirreL:
    1. Download SQuirreL from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/squirrel-sql.

    2. Install SQuirreL by running the following command: java -jar downloaded_install_file

    3. Choose the Base, Standard and Optional Plugin – Data Import packs.

  2. Run SQuirreL using the script that the installer created (typically as a menu or desktop shortcut).

  3. Click the Drivers tab, add a new driver, and configure with the following settings:

    Name NuoDB
    Example URLjdbc:com.nuodb://host/dbname
    Website URLhttp://www.nuodb.com
    Extra Class PathNUODB_HOME/jar/nuodbjdbc.jar
    Class Namecom.nuodb.jdbc.Driver
  4. Create an alias for NuoDB by clicking the Aliases tab and then clicking Create New Alias.

  5. Fill out the Add New Alias dialog. Select Auto logon and Connect at Startup
    The following settings are specific to NuoDB:

    Name NuoDB
    Driver NuoDB
    URL jdbc.com.nuodb://host:port/dbname
