Specifying Java JMX Options for Starting Admin Services

Java Management Extensions (JMX) provide tools for monitoring applications that maintain MBeans. To use JMX to access the information supplied by NuoDB MBeans:

For example, on Linux, in the java-opts file, uncomment the second NUODB_AGENT_JAVA_OPTS line and add the options specified above. If necessary, append any options specified by $NUODB_JAVA_OPTS and ensure that the first NUODB_AGENT_JAVA_OPTS line is a comment. Here is a non-secure example of an updated java-opts file:
