To use NuoDB AdminAn interface for domain and database management. Introduced in NuoDB 4.0 to supersede NuoAgent, this interface is used to manage an admin domain. Use NuoDB Admin instead of NuoAgent to start and stop APs. When using NuoDB Admin to manage a domain and its databases, use NuoDB Command (nuocmd) instead of the NuoDB Manager (nuodbmgr) Command Line Interface (CLI) tool.
See also Admin Process (AP). (
nuoadmin) to manage a NuoDB domain, run one of the commands documented here.
Where NuoDB was installed using either the Debian Package Utility or the RedHat Package Manager (and NuoAgent is the installed domain and database management interface), you can start NuoDB Admin (
nuoadmin) using the
nuoadmin-enable command as follows:
Note: Whether using NuoDB Admin (
nuoadmin), or using
nuoagent to manage a NuoDB domain, only one administrative tier may be active at any given time. The
nuoadmin-enable command shuts down the NuoAgent admin tier, if it is running, prior to starting NuoDB Admin to ensure the two admin tiers are not running simultaneously.
Where NuoDB was installed using a Linux tar file, you can start NuoDB Admin using the
nuoadmin start command.
/opt/nuodb/etc/nuoadmin startStarting NuoDB Admin succeeded.
