Installing NuoDB on Linux

You can download the free NuoDB Community Edition installation package from the Community Edition Download page. To enable Enterprise Edition functionality (which supports an unlimited number of hosts, TE, and SM database processes), contact NuoDB sales for the license required to upgrade from the Community Edition (which is limited to 3 TEs and 1 SM).

You must have Java JDK or JRE installed. For details of versions supported, see System Requirements.

Caution: Be sure to read Determining Whether THP is Enabled before you install NuoDB. THP causes a problem for NuoDB memory management and must be disabled.

The default Linux installation directory is /opt/nuodb.
