Shutdown Host

This is a NuoDB Manager command. See NuoDB Manager.

Stop all database processes running on a specified host. If there are no connections or all connections are idle, all database processes proceed to shut down. If there are active connections, the shutdown occurs after they have completed, or when the timeout (shutdownTimeout, softShutdownTimeout) has expired.

Shutting down processes may result in the enforcer restarting them. To prevent this from happening, specify the disableEnforcer parameter. The default is false.

Note: Enforcement applies only to the Managed database depreciated feature.

Shutting down gracefully means that existing requests and connections are allowed to gracefully complete while no new requests and/or connections are accepted. By default the graceful property is true.

To also shut down the broker on the specified host, set the shutdownHost parameter to true . The default is false. Shutting down the broker this way does not remove this broker's host from the durable membership.

To remove the specified host from the domain, set the removeFromMembership parameter to true. The default is false.

shutdown host host_name
    [ disableEnforcer true | false ]
    [ graceful { true | false } ]
    [ timeout timeout_value ]
    [ softTimeout soft_timeout_value ]
    [shutdownHost true | false]
    [removeFromMembership true | false]
