This is a NuoDB Manager command. See NuoDB Manager.
Stop all processes for a database. If there are no connections or all connections are idle, the process proceeds to shut down. If there are active connections, the shutdown occurs after they have completed, or when the timeout (
softShudownTimeout) has expired.
timeout_value] [ softTimeout
The database, within the domain, to be shut down.
Amount of time to wait for the
shutdown database command to complete. A value of 0 means that NuoDB Manager does not wait. The default timeout is the value of the NuoDB Manager property,
shutdownTimeout (see NuoDB Manager Properties). Specify a timeout value in milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days or weeks and append the appropriate suffix:
A known issue is that if
timeout is set to 0 (do not wait) NuoDB generates a timeout error even when the command is successful.
Amount of time to wait for active client connections to close on their own. After this timeout expires connections will be forcefully closed. A value of 0 means wait forever, that is, there is no timeout. The default soft timeout is the value of the NuoDB Manager property,
softShutdownTimeout (see NuoDB Manager Properties). Specify a timeout value in milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days or weeks and append the appropriate suffix:

shutdown database command can be executed with
--command as follows:
