About Domain Credentials

A NuoDB domain is a collection of machines or cloud instances that have been provisioned to work together to support one or more NuoDB databases. Each database can run on one or more hosts in the domain.

To perform administrative tasks, such as creating a database or shutting down a transaction engine, you must sign in to the domain by specifying domain credentials. Domain credentials include the name and password of a domain administrator account.

After you start the first broker in the domain, you should create one or more domain administrator accounts. See the following topics:
